Passing on Awards—Finally

First off, my apologies to my fellow bloggers who nominated Map of Time for various blogger awards. I’ve fallen so far behind in the follow-ups that come with the awards it looks like I’m ahead! But, alas, spare time has finally visited me.

Very Inspiring Blogger AwardRamona from Washington County Regiment of North Carolina Regiment and Anne Bonney from Gunsmoke and Knitting nominated this blog for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Thank you both!

Rules: (i) Thank and link back to the person who nominated you; (ii) Paste the award to your blog; (iii) Tell 7 thing about yourself; (iv) Nominate 15 other blogs (I will be cutting this down to 5 blogs for this and each of the following awards).

About myself:

This year I decided to try the NaNoWriMo challenge. Surprisingly I met the needed word count a day before the deadline. I say surprisingly because I got a very late start; I am now beginning the editing and revising of my finished novel. It’s not a pretty task; In the past you will recall I owned no Titanic book. That number has grown to two; I finally opened a shop on Etsy.com featuring crocheted items; I’ve done a ton of genealogy work on Sixth Officer James Moody of the Titanic as of late; My dog, Murdoch, thinks he’s a cat; I have learned to play “The Wreck of the Dunbar” (by Warren Fahey) on my harmonica.

  2. Tourism Oxford
  3. A tribute to some women and men who served in armed conflict

    • You’re welcome!

The paypal was very easy to setup. But we’re having some trouble getting the Etsy direct checkout setup. Other than that everything was a breeze. Are you considering setting up an etsy shop too?

  1. I love stopping by for a visit. Here is my Christmas gift to your – a quote on historians that I think will give you a smile. “God cannot alter the past, though historians can.”
Samuel Butler. Looking forward to more Map of Time adventures in 2013. Let’s see where the winds will take us…
