Dec. 7, 1941-Attack of Pearl Harbor.

7:48 AM: Air attack on Pearl Harbor begins.

7:55 AM: Comdr. Logan C. Ramsey sees enemy plane and alerts the base and ships.

8:10 AM: USS Arizona explodes, killing 1,777 men.

8:54 AM : Second wave hits, causing severe damage to USS Downes and USS Cassin.

9:30 AM: USS Shaw’s bow is blown off when a bomb hits it.

1:00 PM: Japanese force begins trip back to Japan.

Hospitals were hastily set up to care for the wounded and dying. In all 2,390 American lives were taken that day. Remembering those who died that day and those who survived such a terrible catastrophe.
